Madeleine Bodine (Fed)

Dr. Madeleine Bodine is a research chemist in the Radioactivity Group at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Her areas of research focus on the production and standardization of standard reference materials (SMRs). Methods used for standardization include 4πβα liquid scintillation (LS) spectrometry, CIEMAT/NIST tracing, and mass spectrometry (MS). She participates in several research projects in the Group including the on-going comparison of NIST-1 to NIST-3 standard ampoules and expanding the use of MS for the standardization of radioactive SRMs. She is a member of the TrueBq team which is tasked with identifying radionuclides and quantifying massic activity within a material in a manner traceable to the SI.
