Siddharth Singh is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Biomaterials Group. He completed his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Maryland (UMD) under the guidance of Prof. John T. Fourkas. His research at UMD centered around utilizing optical spectroscopy techniques to study molecular organization and interaction at solid-liquid interfaces. He also worked on multiphoton absorption techniques for polymerization to fabricate complex, 3D polymeric nanostructures.
At NIST, he is working with Dr. Young Jong Lee on the development of High-Sensitivity IR Spectroscopy for the characterization of therapeutic proteins and to help study lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) as model gene delivery systems. The research is aimed at improving the existing characterization tools available to the biotechnology community, to help advance their process analyzation technology (PAT) systems.
