Abstract
The IEEE Magnetics Group came into existence two years after the American Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Institute of Radio Engineers merged to form the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Since the establishment of IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, scholarly publishing has been one of the organization's major activities. A new electronic journal, IEEE Magnetics Letters, follows in that tradition.Citation
