Abstract

This 45-60 minute presentation (part II of II) provides a contextual and technical introduction to the fundamentals of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), a system used in engineering product definition, i.e., engineering drawings. This particular presentation is an adaptation of a longer lesson developed for an undergraduate mechanical engineering course, compressed for presentation in a shorter format. The authors acknowledge the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Direct Digital Manufacturing Committee for requesting that a similar version of this presentation be developed and delivered to assist in their outreach activities. This document an adapted version of this presentation intended for online distribution.
