Abstract
This specification builds upon the protocols and metrics established in NIST Special Publication 500-336 and defines procedures for the evaluation and certification of contactless fingerprint acquisition devices with respect to certified legacy contact fingerprint collection devices. This protocol allows contactless fingerprint developers seeking certification of their devices to perform self-testing of their device using the NIST Fingerprint Registration and Comparison Tool (NFRaCT). NFRaCT will then enable interested parties to provide results of the self-testing to the certifying authority for verification and acceptance.Citation
