NCCoE Virtual Workshop on the Cybersecurity of Genomic Data
 

The National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) is seeking to identify genomic data cybersecurity and privacy concerns and develop guidance to address these challenges. To that end, the NCCoE is engaging with genomic, cybersecurity, and privacy subject matter experts in academia, industry, and government to gather their insights.

ZTA and DevSecOps for Cloud Native Applications (virtual)

This year’s Multi-Cloud Conference co-hosted by NIST and Tetrate will focus on DevSecOps and ZTA as foundational approaches to development, deployment, and operational phases for achieving high-assurance cloud native applications. Setting the foundation for security automation, with particular focus on the continuous authorization to operate (ATO) processes and continuous monitoring, OSCAL provides machine-readable representations of control catalogs, control baselines or profiles, system security plans, assessment plans, assessment results, and plan of actions and milestones, in a set of formats expressed in XML, JSON, and YAML.

NICE Webinar: Cybersecurity Considerations for The Quantum Information Science Technology (QIST) Workforce

As we move into the new era of quantum computing, there are new cybersecurity challenges and opportunities that emerge such as the development and design of secure systems, impact on cryptography, and the protection of information systems.  The Quantum Information Science Technology (QIST) workforce now involves practitioners trained in a wide variety of disciplines such as computer science, engineering, chemistry, and materials science, who are working together often in multidisciplinary teams to pioneer revolutionary approaches to computing, simulation, sensing, timing, and networking.  This webinar, held in observance of World Quantum Day on April 14th, will examine the cybersecurity implications of QIST and the impact on education, training, and the workforce.

NICE Webinar: Creating the Infrastructure Needed for Scalable Learning and Employment Records

NCCoE Learning Series Project Deep Dive: Implementing a Zero Trust Architecture

The NCCoE initiated this project in collaboration with industry participants to demonstrate several deployment approaches to a zero trust architecture applied to a conventional, general purpose enterprise information technology (IT) infrastructure on premise and in the cloud, which will be designed and deployed according to the concepts and tenets documented in NIST Special Publication (SP) 800-207, Zero Trust Architecture.
