VISPIRI, Inc., doing business as Cleveland Whiskey, of Cleveland, Ohio, is a 20-person, technology-focused whiskey distillery that makes a series of series of whiskey brands sold in 16 states and exported to both Europe and Asia.
The Challenge
Cleveland Whiskey was looking to match its growth with a new facility. During this time of transition Cleveland Whiskey reached out to MAGNET, part of the Ohio MEP and the MEP National Network™, to ensure that the move not only included a better location and more room for their distillery but a more efficient flow.
We've done a number of projects with assistance from MAGNET and I've always been pleased with the results. Leveraging their expertise with our own internal and external resources always provides a positive return.
MEP's Role
The techniques of process flow mapping, and spaghetti diagrams were used and MAGNET was able to layout the facility to reduce the amount of wasted motion of product to drive up efficiency. MAGNET was able to provide a layout that not only allowed for future growth, but maximized current efficiencies.
