The mission of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is to serve the clinical and industrial community by advancing measurement science, standards, and technology. One way we do so is by providing primary reference materials, defined as materials that are certified to be traceable to the international system of units (SI).
General Information
The clinical DNA information resource is a reservoir of information for clinical DNA Standard Reference Materials (SRMs) and candidate materials under consideration. The resource includes presentations, publications, and links to NIST clinical DNA-based SRM certificates. Also included are webpages that summarize the purpose for the reference material and the methods used for certification.
