Development of automated, robotic, and high-throughput experimental infrastructure — Over the past three decades, the materials science and engineering community has seen growing adoption of combinatorial, high throughput, and other automated experimented approaches that increase the rate of data generation, while lowering the cost per experiment and improving reproducibility. Over a similar time period, NIST has maintained applicable efforts in both polymeric and inorganic materials systems and has been at the forefront of research in development of this technology.
We design and build combinatorial, high throughput and autonomous systems that enable us to focus on our primary deliverables including Autonomous Methods and Data and AI-Based Quantitative Analysis.
