The Challenge
To meet the demands of the pharmaceutical and medical device highly regulated industries, the Puerto Rico Manufacturing Extension, part of the MEP National Network™, organization provided support through ISO 9001:2015 certification process. An initial formal Introduction to ISO 9001:2015 training was conducted for management and key personnel supporting the certification process.
I have a long relationship with PR Manufacturing Extension and have always reached out to them when there’s a need for improvement and growth. During 2021 we contacted PR Manufacturing Extension and
Eng. Jose Pagan, and introduced us to Nydia Velez, Performance Consultant, she assisted us in the Implementation of ISO 9001:2015.
We are very appreciative for the assistance provided and the continuous consultation services to support our business growth.
MEP's Role
Following this initial training, Prime Air Corp. increased efforts to ensure the company's quality management system to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. All required support activities were improved, including employee engagement to meet quality standards. Training of internal auditors was also carried out, internal audits and management reviews were initiated. Finally, Prime Air Corp was audited by a certification body and received ISO 9001:2015 certification, with the direct support of Puerto Rico Manufacturing Extension.
