NCAL's projects are designed to fulfill the mission of NCAL: to develop next-generation mechanical and physical measurement tools to generate data that will facilitate the US Auto Industry's incorporation of next-generation advanced lightweight materials into vehicles.

Each has benefited from an injection of $2.5 million in equipment acquisitions under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), including the Next-Generation Metal Formability Cruciform System and new High Rate Material Testing Facility.
