Abstract

Traceable Temperatures outlines the most common methods of measuring temperature and teaches the reader practical skills in assuring that those measurements are made with confidence at a known level of uncertainty. For a beginning user of thermometers or for a user wishing to achieve a higher degree of expertise, this book is an excellent choice. Temperature Measurement is best thought of as a handbook-a compendium that does not serve as a textbook or comprehensive guide to a field, but serves a purpose by collecting in one place an array of useful information related to temperature measurement. The book is most useful for understanding and modeling the dynamic and installation effects of various types of sensors in various environments.
