Abstract

The Technical Standards Activities Program (TSAP) provides support for public and private sector standards-related activities.TSAP manages:U.S. representation in the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML), a treaty organization that promotes global trade for harmonizing performance requirements for measuring instruments used in legal metrology.Examines non-tariff trade barriers for non-agricultural products under the World Trade Organization (WTO) Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade.Provides technical support for U.S. standards experts at U.S. Embassies and Missions.Provides technical support for public and private sector standards-related activities and administers the DoC Voluntary Standards Program.
