Dennis S. Everett ()

Dennis Everett is a Mechanical Engineer in the Dimensional Metrology Group. He has been focused in the area of precision measurements since starting at NIST in 1991. He is responsible for the calibration and traceability of regional and reference master thread gauges defined in the American Petroleum Institute (API) standards 5B, 7-2 and 11B. He has extensive knowledge in programming and use of Coordinate Measuring Machines and provides measurement support to researchers at NIST.

Dennis has received the U.S. Department of Commerce Bronze Medal Award and the Edward Bennet Rosa Award. He is a member of several thread committees and work groups within API and ASME, Chair of ASME B89.1.17 Measurement of Thread Measuring Wires, and NIST liaison to ASME B1 Thread Committee.
