Abstract

This document consists of instructional material developed by a private sector contractor for use in training laboratories and laboratory accreditors, esecially in Latin American countries. It describes the process according to ISO/IEC Guide 25 and offers comparisons with its near-future replacement, FDIS 17025. The document describes the steps to perform an assessment and makes suggestions for laboratories that seek accreditation. this information, in both English and spanish, is available on the NIST Office of Standards Services (OSS) Internet Web site.
