Abstract

The use of deuterium as a carrier and reagent gas for structural determination of alkenes, cyclopropane compounds and cyclic sulphides by reaction GC-MS is described. Catalytic transformation of analytes is accomplished in an on-line gas-phase microreactor located between the GC column and the mass spectrometer or on the reaction column.
