Hummingbird Precision Machine Co. Dba Hummingbird Scientific seeks to develop a transmission electron microscopy (TEM) in-situ specimen holder that enables electrical biasing experiments with high voltage biasing (up to 1000V) while concurrently real-time imaging of nano-scale electronic device (components).
The awardee will develop a high-voltage in-situ TEM specimen holder with high voltage capabilities.
In-situ specimen holder will allow for increased understanding of failure modes and their origins in electronic devices.
Manufacturers and researchers of better performing next-generation high-voltage power converters used in in renewable energy integration, electric vehicles and transportation, power transmission and distribution, medical equipment, and consumer electronics.
The recipient does not intend to subaward funds.
