The Virginia Cyber Range will host the annual Cybersecurity Careers Capture the Flag Competition to help celebrate Cybersecurity Career Week! This Jeopardy-style Capture-the-Flag Competition will feature challenges aligned with the categories from the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced CTF player, this competition is for you! The Space Grand Challenge (SGC) Sandbox Series, a game-based Space and Cybersecurity Skills Development opportunity is a virtual event where anyone can compete as individuals or groups from around the world. Open Source INTelligence, also known as OSINT, refers to gathering information from publicly available sources, such as social media, company websites, and news articles. OSINT can collect a great deal of information about a company or person, which cybercriminals can easily misuse. As a CARE Lab OSINT analyst, you will use open sources on the internet to capture an assortment of flags on a target company. You will use search engines, social media, and other open-source tools to capture the flags.
Warning: Only passive reconnaissance is allowed; no active scanning or brute force shall be applied. All legal consequences of breaking this rule are the responsibility of those conducting it.

The Security Awareness Public Service Announcement (PSA) Contest invites high school and college students to help promote good digital citizenship! Students can win cash prizes, gain experience, and earn recognition by creating PSA videos promoting a specific cybersecurity or privacy topic that educates the general public about using the internet safely, securely, and effectively. To better serve these underrepresented populations, the CARE Lab, Raices Cyber, and Black Girls Hack are partnering to welcome PSAs in Spanish, English, and Hindi.
