OWM Programs/Groups
The NIST Office of Weights and Measures (OWM) is comprised of four (4) program areas that work together to ensure:
- National uniformity in weights and measures standards and practices (National Legal Metrology)
- Harmonization of international and national legal metrology standards and practices (International Legal Metrology)
- SI traceability of State weights and measures (Laboratory Metrology)
- SI use in trade and commerce, government, and everyday life in the U.S. (Metric(SI))
