Laboratory Metrology Proficiency Testing (PT) Program

The NIST Office of Weights and Measures Proficiency Testing (PT) Program is limited in scope to only those state and private calibration laboratories that participate in our U.S. Regional Measurement Assurance Program and conducts proficiency tests limited to mass calibration, volume calibration, and length (steel tapes and rules) calibration.

In the content of the overall OWM Laboratory Metrology program, the PT program operations are described in an NCSL International Measures technical paper, originally published in June 2012.
