FpVTE 2012
NIST is announcing Fingerprint Vendor Technology Evaluation 2012 (FpVTE2012). An evaluation of large 1-to-many fingerprint identification algorithms using enrollment sample sizes in the multi-millions.
January 3, 2015: The final report for FpVTE 2012, NIST 8034 Fingerprint Vendor Technology Evaluation is now available.
August 31, 2012: An update has been made to the framework to correct the use of 0 byte length templates. The follow rpms should be installed (rpm -Uhv libbio...)
Additionally, the validation package has been updated to fix identification stages one and two and provide enrollment output information.

July 23, 2012: The validation package has been updated to correct the output of stage two identification.

July 17, 2012: The validation package has been updated to include scripts that will run validation sets for all three classes of participation. The scripts finish by creating a compressed "tar" file of the output directory that will be returned to NIST for validation on our systems. .
Just follow the directions in the README file included in the validation package.
July 10, 2012: The validation driver/data package for all three classes is now available at this link fpvte2012_validation_06JULY2012.tar.gz
Note that the validation datasets are only representative of the format of the test data. They are intended to help establish that the submitted software compiles/links correctly and can process the data in the test format. The validation data doesn't represent the same quality that will be used in the actual evaluation. Follow the directions in the README file on using the validation package.
