1. Our annual meeting on June 15, 2023 was well attended;  the presentations were well received.  Thanks to the speakers for their presentations and to attendees for their participation.  Participants should have received a list of references and citation links.
2. Our work with OSAC over the past year has lead to plans for expansion of the scope of the Facial Identification Sub-committee of the OSAC Digital/Multi-media committee.  At the start of the next fiscal year,  barring an unforeseen glitch, it will include iris recognition.  blretton [at] fbi.gov (Bethany Retton ) is soliciting people with iris expertise to participate in the work of the sub-committee.  If interested, contact Bethany directly.
3. Our next annual meeting is planned for Thursday, June 13, 2024.  We hope to make this a hybrid meeting.  Suggestions for topics/speakers may be sent to james.matey [at] nist.gov (James Matey).

02/10/2023  Annual Meeting Registration Now Open

Registration for our annual meeting on Thursday June 15, 2023 is now open at https://www.nist.gov/news-events/events/2023/06/2023-iris-experts-group-ieg-meeting.

Registration is free, but required for all, including NIST staff.  The meeting will be virtual via BlueJeans.  If you are at all likely to attend, please register early (now).  It is easier for us to deal with a few no shows than any number of late registrations.

The agenda is in preparation and will be posted here and sent via email to the IEG main distribution list. 

Suggestions for topics/speakers remain welcome – send to ieg-ii [at] nist.gov (IEG-II[at]nist[dot]gov)
